Mandrake and Karen's place was perfect for my daughter's rotation at nearby Holy Cross Hospital. It is also conveniently located for access to Silver Spring and DC. The space is beautiful, spacious and stylishly decorated. Karen was a very gracious host, easy to talk to and always quick to respond to questions. Highly recommended.

CLOSE TO HOME WHILE REMODELING

Immediately upon entering the Suite on Sanford, I felt welcome and at home. The suite is thoughtfully designed, with beautiful art on the walls and charming decor. I wish I had the eye for design that Karen and Mandrake have. Most importantly for travelers, Karen and Mandrake have outfitted the suite with all the things you'll need--from the basics like good towels and a comfy bed, to more thoughtful items like a step ladder to reach a high shelf where the extra blanket is kept, and an ice cream scoop for dishing out servings of guava ice cream from the tropical ice cream shop not far away. Karen and Mandrake live above the suite, though I barely heard them--the sound-proofing in their home is significantly better than in my condo. I happened to catch Karen in the yard one morning and she took time to show me the herb garden outside the door to the suite. For the duration of my stay, I was able to add fresh rosemary, basil, mint and oregano to my meals. I was definitely sad to leave that behind. I stayed at Suite on Sanford while the bathrooms were being renovated in my condo not far away. I really appreciated Karen and Mandrake's flexibility when I needed to extend my stay twice because the bathrooms weren't quiiiiite done. It made the stressful experience of home renovation easier. If I ever have visitors or friends looking for a clean, comfortable, cozy and quiet place in Silver Spring, I will definitely recommend this one. Stay here! You won't be disappointed!

Book this place! Lovely apartment with all the amenities a traveler needs. Tastefully decorated and plenty of space to spread out. Loved the bed and extra big bedroom. Homey and warm overall feel. ALL THE COMFORTS OF HOME WHILE VISITING FAMILY & FRIENDS

You'll be so glad you stayed here! Spacious, immaculate, and very comfortable. Mandrake and Karen have gone out of their way to make the space very livable. Some AirBnB's are beautiful, but not comfortable. Suite on Sanford is beautiful AND has comfy chairs, couches, cushioned benches in the kitchen, and a great mattress. Light-sensitive night lights for when you get up at night. Nice and cool on hot days, which is a frequent thing in the DC area. The kitchen had everything I needed to make meals and clean up afterwards. Oregano from the herb garden enhanced my veggie omelets. Very well-appointed kitchen. Puzzles and games for when you just need to unwind. Close to Sligo Creek, and several other parks, very walkable in a green and leafy area. And close to all the great restaurants Wheaton has to offer. Last, but certainly not least, Karen and Mandrake were warm and kind hosts, always responsive quickly to any questions I had, and friendly. I would recommend this to anyone.

Had a great stay! Apartment was very clean, with clear instructions throughout the home for use of appliances and house rules. Karen is an amazing communicator who frequently checked in to make sure my stay was a good one. Location of the home is perfect and conveniently located minutes from the highway. Walking trail next to home was a huge plus! Would highly recommend this location.
